What is the AI Hug trend?
AI Hug takes two photos, one of each person, and makes a short clip of the two of you meeting for a hug. You walk toward each other, smile, and hold a long, warm hug while gently swaying, in soft daylight against a simple background.
It’s made for people who can’t hug right now: a partner in another time zone, a sibling who moved away, a friend you haven’t seen in years, a parent you miss. You don’t need to be in the same photo, or even the same country. The walk in builds slowly and the sway is where it lands, so let the trend sound carry the feeling and keep the caption short.
Each clip is 8 seconds, vertical 9:16, with sound. It fits TikTok and Reels, and it works as a private send too: it stays private until you make a share link, so you can share it with just the person in it.

Do we need to be in the same photo?
No. Add one photo of each person, taken anywhere, at any time. The video brings the two of you together.
Does the other person need to agree?
Yes. Both people must be 18 or older and OK with being in it. Ask before you use someone’s photo, and keep it private until they’ve seen it.
Does it keep the background from our photos?
No. The hug happens in soft daylight against a simple background, so your two photos don’t need to match. A clear face and upper body in each one matter more.
Is AI Hug free?

Partly. ChatGPT and Gemini can write a prompt, and AI video tools, CapCut’s included, can turn a photo into a clip from it, usually after a few tries and with a watermark on free tiers. They don’t know this trend’s scene or timing. Here both are built in, so one photo is all it takes.
How long does it take?
Most videos are ready in 3 to 5 minutes. You can close the page; the video keeps going and waits for you in Assets.
Can two people be in it?
Yes, it is made for two. Add one photo for each person.
Why does the face not look like me?
Usually the photo: side angle, low light or something covering the face. Try a clear front photo. If one doesn’t come out, you are not charged.
Can I post it on TikTok?
Yes. The video is vertical with the trend sound, and after your first purchase it has no watermark. Pick the trend’s sound when you post and your video also shows on that sound’s page.
Who can see my video?
