Copyright and DMCA policy

Last updated October 25, 2026 · Version 1.0

The short version

  • If something on Reelfie uses your copyrighted work without permission, send us a notice.
  • If your content was removed by mistake, you can send a counter-notice.
  • Accounts that repeatedly infringe are closed.
  • Is it your face, not your copyright? Use Report instead. It’s faster.

01Send a notice

Send it to our designated copyright agent: Copyright Agent, Reelfie · copyright@reelfie.app. Include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. The work you say is being infringed.
  3. The link to each item on Reelfie you want removed.
  4. Your name, address, phone number and email.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorized by the owner, their agent or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you own the right or are authorized to act for the owner.

02What happens next

We remove or disable the item quickly and tell the person who posted it, including a copy of your notice.

03Counter-notice

If you think your content was removed by mistake, send our agent:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. What was removed and where it was.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address and phone number, and that you consent to the federal district court for your address (or, outside the US, any district where Reelfie can be found), and will accept service from the person who sent the notice.

We forward it to them. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they’ve gone to court, we put the item back within 10 to 14 business days.

04Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe copyright.

05False claims

Knowingly making a false notice or counter-notice can make you liable for damages (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)).
