Terms of service

Last updated October 25, 2026 · Version 1.0

The short version

  • You must be 18 or older to use Reelfie.
  • Only upload photos of yourself, or of people who said yes. Never anyone under 18.
  • Credits are not money. Pack credits last 12 months; a plan’s credits last their month. Failed renders give your credits back.
  • Plans renew on their own until you cancel. Cancel any time in Account, and the plan runs to the end of what you paid for.
  • You own what you make. Paid renders can be used commercially; free ones are for personal posts.
  • In the US, disputes go to individual arbitration unless you opt out within 30 days. This doesn’t apply in the EU or UK.

01Who we are

Reelfie is run by Reelfie (“Reelfie”, “we”, “us”). These terms are a contract between you and us. By creating an account or using Reelfie, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Reelfie.

02Who can use Reelfie

  • You must be at least 18.
  • One account per person. Keep your sign-in email and devices secure; you’re responsible for what happens in your account.
  • Reelfie isn’t available in countries under US sanctions, or to people on US sanctions lists.

03Your photos and the people in them

You may upload a photo only if:

  • you are in it, or every person in it has given you permission;
  • no one in it is under 18;
  • you have the right to use it.

Uploading a photo means you agree to how we handle the faces in it, as our Biometric data policy explains. Your photos are deleted 7 days after upload and never used to train AI.

04What you make

You own it. You keep whatever rights you have in your photos and in the videos and images you make with Reelfie.

You give us permission to store, process and display them only to run Reelfie for you: to make the result, keep it in Assets, and show it to people you share it with.

Commercial use. Once you have bought a plan or a pack, your results can be used commercially, including in ads, as long as everyone in them agreed. Until then, downloads carry a small watermark and are for personal posts.

AI results can look like other people’s results, and won’t always look exactly like you. We can’t promise a result is unique.

Shared links stay viewable by anyone with the link until you unshare or delete the video.

05AI labels

Everything you make on Reelfie is made with AI. Every file carries a hidden tag in its data that says so; it isn’t drawn on the picture. Don’t strip that tag or remove any watermark we add, and don’t present a result as real footage of real events. When you post, turn on the platform’s “AI-generated” label if it has one.

06Credits and payments

  • Credits let you use Reelfie features. They have no cash value, can’t be transferred or sold, and can’t be swapped for money except where the law requires it.
  • Packs are one-time payments. Nothing renews.
  • Plans renew automatically. A plan is a subscription, billed monthly or yearly at the price shown when you start it. It charges your saved payment method at the start of each period until you cancel.
  • Cancel any time in Account › Credits › Manage billing, as easily as you started. The plan runs to the end of the period you paid for and doesn’t renew. We email you 7 days before a yearly plan renews.
  • If we change a plan’s price, we email you at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal, so you can cancel first.
  • If a renewal payment fails, it’s tried again over the following days. If it still fails, the plan ends.
  • Pack credits expire 12 months after purchase. A plan’s credits expire when the next month’s arrive, yearly plans included. Free credits expire 7 days after you get them. We always use the credits that expire soonest first.
  • You see the price, in credits or money, before you pay or render. Sales tax or VAT is added where it applies.
  • Payments are handled by our payment processor. We never see your full card number.
  • Failed or blocked renders give your credits back automatically. For money refunds, see the Refund policy.

07Rules

Follow our Content policy. Also, don’t:

  • break the law or help anyone else do so;
  • get around our safety checks, limits or watermarks;
  • scrape, copy or reverse-engineer Reelfie, or overload it;
  • resell access, or make extra accounts to collect free credits.

09Our property

The Reelfie name, logo, site, templates and example videos belong to us or the people who license them to us. You may share our example videos as they are, but you can’t reuse them as your own.

10Reports and takedowns

Every share page has a Report button, and anyone can use it. We remove intimate images shared without consent within 48 hours of a valid report. For copyright, see our DMCA policy.

11Suspension and deleting your account

You can delete your account anytime in Account › Privacy & data. You have 7 days to change your mind; after that your videos, photos, share links and remaining credits are gone. Asking to delete stops your plan from renewing, and deleting cancels it.

We may pause or close an account that breaks these terms. Unless there’s serious harm or a legal reason not to, we tell you why and how to appeal.

Content involving minors means a permanent ban, and we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

12Changes

We may add, change or remove features, models, templates and prices. Credits you already bought keep their expiry date. If we make a big change to these terms, we email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. Using Reelfie after that means you accept the new terms.

13No guarantees

Reelfie is provided “as is”. AI makes mistakes, and we can’t promise the service will always be available or that every result will be what you wanted. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer law that can’t be waived.

14Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100. This doesn’t limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law doesn’t let us limit.

15If you use other people’s photos

If someone makes a claim against us because you uploaded their photo without permission or otherwise broke these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs, where the law allows.

16Disputes in the US

  • Talk to us first. Email legal@reelfie.app and give us 30 days to sort it out.
  • Arbitration. If we can’t, the dispute goes to binding individual arbitration with the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Either of us can use small claims court instead.
  • No class actions. You and we each bring claims only individually, not as part of a class, and both give up a jury trial.
  • Opting out. Email legal@reelfie.app within 30 days of first accepting these terms, with your name and account email, and this section won’t apply to you.
  • These terms are governed by the Federal Arbitration Act and the laws of the US state where Reelfie is established.

17Customers in the EU, UK and elsewhere

If you’re a consumer in the EU or UK, the arbitration and class-action sections don’t apply. You can bring claims in the courts where you live, and you keep every protection your local consumer law gives you.
