What is the Ramalama AI trend?
Ramalama AI turns you into a witch on a quiet street on Halloween night. Jack-o’-lanterns glow along the pavement, porch string lights shine orange, and a little fog drifts over the dry leaves. The camera sits low near the ground and tracks nothing but your legs as you strut its way, step after step, a long black velvet cloak swishing around your boots.
Then the reveal. In half a second the camera whips up from your boots to your face under a tall pointed hat, and there you are with a sly smile and a little shimmy of the shoulders. You frame your face with your fingers like you’re snapping a photo, turn your head to laugh, give a small wave and finish with a hand on your hip. That whip-up is the whole trend, and it lands at the same moment it does in the original.
The costume is always the same: a wide-brimmed witch hat, a long black velvet cloak, lace-up boots and black gloves, fully covered, so it suits anyone. Under the hat, your own hair shows. The 10-second vertical clip is made for one person. The original song isn’t in the clip, so pick the Ramalama sound in the TikTok or Reels editor.

Where Ramalama AI started
The song behind it is “Ramalama (Bang Bang)”, a song from Róisín Murphy’s 2005 album Ruby Blue. Clips set to the song appeared in summer 2025, and around Halloween it became a costume walk: a low camera on the legs, then a reveal when the vocal changes. Murphy joined in that October, and the format came back in October 2026.

Ramalama AI questions
The short answers. Ask a person or visit the help center.
Can I pick a different costume?
Not yet. Everyone gets the same witch look: a long black velvet cloak, gloves, boots and a tall pointed hat, with your own hair showing underneath.
Why does the clip start on my legs?
That’s the trend. Your face is hidden from the shot until the camera whips up for the reveal, a little past the six-second mark.
Do I need a full-body photo?
No. The costume is added, so a clear photo of your face matters most. Make sure your face and hair are easy to see.
Is Ramalama AI free?
Not free, but you can try Reelfie first: every new account gets one photo trend free, no card needed. Ramalama AI itself starts at $9.90 for a credit pack, with no watermark once you buy, and a run that fails costs nothing.
How much does Ramalama AI cost?
100 credits in HD (720p), 50 in standard (480p). A pack from $9.90 makes 1 in HD or 3 in standard, and a plan from $16.58/mo, billed yearly, makes 4 in HD a month. The Make button shows the total before it runs, and a run that fails gives the credits back.
What app makes the Ramalama AI video?
Reelfie (reelfie.app) makes it from one photo, with no prompt to write: the trend’s look is built in. It costs 100 credits, shown before it runs, and a run that fails costs nothing.
Is Reelfie the official Ramalama AI app?
No. Ramalama AI is a trend, and no app owns it. Reelfie (reelfie.app) is independent, not affiliated with TikTok, CapCut or the trend’s creators; it makes your own version from your photo.
Can I make Ramalama AI with ChatGPT, Gemini or CapCut?
Partly. ChatGPT and Gemini can write a prompt, and AI video tools, CapCut’s included, can turn a photo into a clip from it, usually after a few tries and with a watermark on free tiers. They don’t know this trend’s scene or timing. Here both are built in, so one photo is all it takes.
How long does it take?
Most videos are ready in 3 to 5 minutes. You can close the page; the video keeps going and waits for you in Assets.
Why does the face not look like me?
Usually the photo: side angle, low light or something covering the face. Try a clear front photo. If one doesn’t come out, you are not charged.
Can I post it on TikTok?
Yes. The video is vertical with the trend sound, and after your first purchase it has no watermark. Pick the trend’s sound when you post and your video also shows on that sound’s page.
Who can see my video?
Only you. It stays private in Assets until you create a share link.
What happens to my photos?
Your photos are deleted 7 days after upload and never used to train AI.
