The Earth zoom out format comes from a 4K video the YouTube channel UNIVERSE DOPE posted in September 2019, zooming from Germany out into space. It became a TikTok trend in July 2022, when a TikTok creator paired the footage with Frank Ocean’s “Pink + White” and creators followed with an insecurity, then the zoom out showing how small it is.
