Quick answer

Open Pet Costume AI, choose a costume (pumpkin suit, bat wings, sheet ghost, or witch hat and cape), add one sharp everyday photo of your cat or dog, and press make. A few minutes later you have an 8-second clip, with sound, of them at a Halloween front door, tilting their head and wagging. It costs 80 credits.

Most pets tolerate a costume for about as long as it takes you to miss the photo. This template leaves the costume out of it: the outfit is drawn onto your pet from a normal picture, so the cat who shreds hats, or the old dog who shouldn’t be fussed with, can still be in the Halloween post.

It makes one animal per video, from one photo. Below: which costume to pick, which photo to use, the steps, and how to post it.

Pick the costume

Every version is set at a front door lined with jack-o’-lanterns. The costume is your choice:

Pumpkin

A soft orange suit with a little green stem hat. The one that says Halloween fastest.

Bat

Soft black wings and small pointed ears. Striking on a black cat or a dark-coated dog.

Ghost

A white sheet-ghost cape with two cut-out eyes. Funniest on a small, round pet.

Witch

A tiny pointed hat and a purple cape, for the pet who already runs the house.

The photo: everyday, not dressed up

Use a picture of your pet as they normally look. The costume is added for them, so a photo where they already wear a sweater, a bandana or last year’s outfit only gets in the way.

  • Face toward the camera, both ears in view, eyes open
  • One animal in the frame; crop out the other pets
  • Daylight from a window rather than flash, which makes eyes glow
  • Sharp, not mid-pounce or mid-shake

Two pets? Make one video each and post them together. Which photos work best with AI shows good and bad examples side by side.

Step by step

  1. 1Open Pet Costume AI on Reelfie and pick one of the four costumes: pumpkin suit, bat wings, sheet ghost, or witch hat and cape.
  2. 2Upload one sharp, everyday photo of your cat or dog with the face and both ears in view. No costume in the photo.
  3. 3Keep it vertical, the default, or pick square or widescreen. The button shows 80 credits before anything runs, for an 8-second video with sound.
  4. 4Press make. Most clips are ready in 3 to 5 minutes; you can close the page, and a run that fails refunds its credits.
  5. 5Download the MP4 from Assets and post it to TikTok, Reels or your Story on Halloween night.

Posting it

  • Open on the head tilt. It’s the second people stop scrolling for.
  • Caption it in your pet’s voice, as if the costume was their idea.
  • Use a frame of the costume as the cover so it shows on your grid.
  • Tag #pethalloween, and turn on the platform’s AI-generated label if it asks for one.

The clip comes with sound, so it can go up as it is. For export settings that keep the fur sharp, read how to post an AI video to TikTok.

Other ways to get the look

Common problems

  • It doesn’t look like my pet

Use a photo that shows their markings and both ears clearly. Mixed coats need a well-lit shot, or they get smoothed into one color.

  • The wrong animal ended up in costume

The photo had two pets in it. Crop to one before you upload.

  • The eyes look odd

Flash photos give pets glowing eyes, and the video keeps them. Use a daylight photo instead.

FAQ

Does my pet have to wear anything?

No. An everyday photo works, and the costume is added in the video.

Can I choose the costume?

Yes: pumpkin suit, bat wings, sheet ghost, or witch hat and cape. The front-door setting is the same for all four.

Does it work for cats as well as dogs?

Yes. It’s made for one cat or one dog per video.

How much is the pet costume video?

80 credits, about $4.95 at the smallest pack’s rate (up to 2 videos for $9.90). Plans cost less per video.
